More Than Conquerors
Acrylic on Canvas
This painting depicts a victorious woman warrior standing on a mountaintop because she conquered her struggles. It invites the viewer to remember how it feels to triumph over a time in their life when they struggled. In my case, it shows how amazing it feels to be released from daily, debilitating pain and to finally regain some life by fighting a long battle, which was a chronic brain condition called Chiari Malformation.
It is based on the verse from Romans 8:31-39, which says that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. These verses also mention the word “sword”, which reminded me of a long battle that is finally won. These verses speak to me because, through it all, God is still for us and still fighting our battles, even when we do not realize it.
